NEET Result 2022: National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET UG 2022 examination on 17th July 2022 for 1872341 candidates at different exam centers that located in 497 cities in India and 14 outside India. As the examination is concluded now all candidates are looking for the NEET Result Date. NEET 2022 Results can be checked online at neet.nta.nic.in and for this, they must have their log in details. Before the publication of the result, the authority will upload the NEET 2022 answer key and response sheet which will be accessible from the candidate’s login.

NTA NEET UG Result 2022

The time between the completion of the exam and the announcement of NEET Result 2022 is quite tough and full of curiosity for each candidate who has appeared for the exam. This is because NEET is a very sorted-out entrance exam after 10+2. It was conducted on a national level that plays an important role in deciding the direction of the career of many candidates.

Following the previous year’s trend, NEET Result 2022 will also be hosted online. NTA will publish the result on its official website and will also upload the same on Digi locker. NTA will not send any physical copy of results through the post to any candidate. Candidates should note that no category-wise result will be hosted. They should keep the printed copy of the NEET result for further admission process.

NEET results can be utilized by other organizations or entities under the Central/ State Government by their rules and policies for admission.

NEET 2022 Cut Off

NEET UG 2022 candidates have to secure a minimum marks/ percentile cut-off fixed by the conducted authority for each category of the candidates.

The category-wise percentage cut-off for NEET 2022 is as follows-

To qualify for the NEET, candidates must secure a minimum percentile in their respective category.

In the case of NEET 2022, the percentile will be determined based on the highest marks secured in the test.

Lakhs of students appeared for this exam each year and the possibility of having the same marks for more than one student is quite common. To resolve the tie and determine the rank of the candidates, a tiebreaker criterion is applied. The tie-breaking criteria that are used to determine the merit of the candidates are shared as under-

❗️Marks in Biology- Candidates securing higher marks in the Biology section (Botany and Zoology) in the test will be preferred.


❗️Marks in Chemistry- If a tie persists then candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will be given preference.


❗️Incorrect Answers- If the tie is still not resolved then the candidate with fewer attempted incorrect answers in all the three subjects in the exam will be ranked high.


❗️Based on age- If a tie persists then the candidate older in age will be given preference.

NEET Result and Reservation 2022

Reservation is an important factor as it is considered at various phases of the NEET exam and final admission. Out of 100% seats in NEET, 15% Seats will be reserved for All Indian Quota Students. Candidates under this 15% AIQ will be allotted seats in Central Institutions Including AFMC, ESI, BHU, Delhi University (DU), AMU, and Deemed Universities.

The category-wise seat reservation under the All India Quota (15%) is given below-

The remaining 85% of seats will be reserved for states. For these seats, reservations will be provided as per the policies of the State Government.

NEET Merit/Rank List 2022

After the announcement of the result, NTA will also publish the merit list. The merit list will be prepared as per the directives prescribed by the DGHS, MCI, and DCI by NTA. This merit will be taken as a base for counseling. It is will be prepared based on the results and scores of the candidates in the NEET exam. Separate merit lists will be prepared for 15% All India Quota seats and 85% state quota seats. The merit list will indicate the names of the successful candidates in order of merit.

NTA will forward the AIQ merit list to the Directorate General of Health Services (Medical Examination Cell), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for further admission procedure.

Here, NTA will forward the merit list to the state authorities for further proceedings.

NEET Counselling 2022

Once the merit list will be released respective authorities will invite applications for NEET counseling. NEET 2022 counseling will be conducted online mode. Based on merit, candidates will be eligible for counseling and will be allotted seats.

Counseling for All India seats will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services. Whereas for state quota seats it will be conducted by the concerned state authorities.
